Ch. Lupini Pretty Boy Floyd
MYKIE PICTURE

Ch. Lupini Pretty Boy Floyd (alias "Mykie") was in my very first litter. The puppies' first show was an outdoor show, in south central IL in mid-summer. Boiling hot, a tornado moving through nearby, I had four dogs entered but only showed three because ran out of grooming time. Pouring rain, whipping winds and two vans, huddled together with an old tarp stretched between them, so the Kees and Sammies could be groomed. The showing clothes, forgotten at home, I entered the puppy dog class in a pair of sandals and a short playsuit. Due to the weather, my seven-month-old male (Mykie) had not had time to play and unwind. He wiggled lots for the judge, trying to lick his face. Relieved that the inspection was over, and he could move, he trotted/bounced, up the triangle. At the end, as I slowed down to turn him, without missing a step, he leaped up-up-up, into my face and gave me a kiss. Spinning in mid air, he landed four square, facing the judge, and trotted back to him, just full of himself - with me, astounded, at the other end of the lead. No, he did not take the points, but we all had a good laugh.
